We’re excited to announce the launch of Nephio Release 3, a significant milestone in our journey towards open cloud-native automation. This release builds upon the foundations laid in R1 and R2, focusing on enhancing the platform’s functional robustness, stability, and usability, with a particular emphasis on O-RAN automation.

Key Highlights:

  • Web UI: Refreshed design, new tabs, and security fixes.
  • Packages Management: Improvements to the catalog, including OSC RIC deployment packages.
  • Core Platform: Several enhancements to porch components.
  • Documentation: Updated architecture, schema catalog, and versioning support.
  • Security: OpenSSF best practices score improved from 3.6 to 7.6, digital signing automation, and enhanced vulnerability reporting.

Looking ahead, Nephio’s roadmap includes enhancing core platform capabilities, multi-cloud and multi-domain support, and deeper collaborations with projects like Sylva and Camara. We aim to expand enterprise use cases and explore AI integration to simplify user journeys.
